I'm getting the last details of packing sorted, and my flight leaves in 13 hours. The past few days have been a blur of food, wine, and fun. Thursday night was an International Thanksgiving at our place, with about 25 people from all over the world, and lots of food from both their countries and ours. Friday night was a slightly more traditional Thanksgiving with the American and Canadian divisions of the Biomedical Engineering Departmnet where the turkey and football lacking the day before made an appearance. Finally, tonight was a bbq at Aofie's place in Coogee with steaks and salads and snacks along with an induction into the world of Carrom, a really fun game that is somewhat like pool played with flat discs instead of balls, and where a flicked finger takes the place of the cue. I know details on all these are sketchy, but I'll flesh them out once I can relax back home, and post the pictures that go with them.
