Gentleman and a...

Google's newest offering (and timely considering the last post), Google Scholar. Now all us scientific journal types can go check our references. From the looks of it so far, the results seem to fall into three catergories. One is the older citations which are just that, a listing of the reference, sans link, often seen for books, but occasionally for older references. The second and third groups overlap somewhat, but are seperated by the fact that the third group has a link to the journal where the article is published, usually to the page where it can be purchased (or viewed if you have a subscription already). The second result type is one where the links point merely to an abstract of the work, although this feature is often seen in the third group as well.

So far it seems pretty comprehensive, and actually returns more results for my professor than a comprable search on pubmed. It's definitely worth stopping by and having a play.
