It was slightly saddening to discover that GORP doesn't exist down under, at least- you won't find anyone calling it that here. Instead we get
SCROGGIN: Sultanas, Chocolate, Raisins, Orange Peel (candied), Ginger (crystallised), Glucose, Imagination and Nuts. Doesn't have the same ring to it as "Good Old Raisins and Peanuts". Plus, this now raises the question of 'what exactly is the difference between raisins and sultanas?' Since everything in the store here that would have been raisin filled back home is now chock full of sultana goodness (Raising Bran = Sultana Bran, etc.) you would think that they are the same thing with a different name. However, by including them both as seperate items in the SCROGGIN, it implies a difference. Quite a quandary, isn't it? Someone care to enlighten me?
