"Weather maps are hard to read" ~Johns weather professor, when a student told him that the weather map he placed on the final exam was blurry and had poor print quality.

Another search result that comes up with me as the first result. Anyone else looking for "BME blue wallpaper"?

KFC We do chicken... well maybe not. Dinner tonight was supposed to be a lovely meal of KFC thanks to Colby's generous gift of $20 there. Unfortunately it didn't work out quite as planned. Eric, Carter, John and I got to the KFC and ordered a meal, with 12 pieces, 3 sides and 6 biscuits. We also got some drinks, and were ready to pay. The gift certificates were handed over and we were told... I've got to check with my manager. The manager comes over and says, I can't accept those. She then goes on to tell us how they are franchise only gift certificates, and that the one we were in was an independently owned one. She suggested a another one, and very annoyed we went on our way. We get to the franchised KFC, which was identical to the one we just left down to the posters on the door, and go in. This time we ask first- do you accept these? Again, the cashier needs to check with her manager. So, eventually the manager comes forward and proceeds to tel us that the gift certificates are not valid, and that they are not franchise gift certificates (despite saying for franchise redemption right on them) and that they are probably for the independent KFC's. So, with no reason to pay outrageous prices if the gift certificates were no good, we left. After driving down Devon briefly to look for one other, we decided to just come back and go to Chipotle, for my fourth burrito night in 8 days. Yea, and that was dinner.

Just got back from a night of bowling. Left my apartment at 20 after 9, walked over to 720, where I met up with Meg, Jen, Kim and Tamica, ate some mac and cheese and was denied Pad Sie Eiw by Kim. Jen then drove us up to Lambda Chi where I beat Kim at foosball 10-8 in an intense match, and met up with Ankur and others from the house. From there we headed out to the bowling alley, Rock n Bowl (located at 2211 Diversey for those interested. Once we got there everyone had to type their names into a machine and get their picture taken. We had three lanes between all of us, but as luck would have it, my lane broke down 3 times, and one of the times the entire computer had to be reset. Since bowling was by the hour, we got shut off just two frames into the second game (which I started off with two strikes). After we were done, we took lots of pictures and headed out. The first odd thing we saw was a traffic light that was green and yellow. The green light was solid and the yellow one was blinking. After that we went to The Famous Taco Burrito and some of us got food there, and then it was off to Wendy's where we all got frosties. Finally we headed home to Evanston at around 1.

Meg, Kim and I were watching 1000 men and a baby. If you ask why, I'll blame Kim. Anyway, in brief, its about these navy men who adopt a baby they find in Korea, and who are then told to give up the baby. After a fight, it is agreed upon that the baby will go to America for adoption. I the end the ships doctor and his wfie (who was there for part of the time) adopt the baby and everything seems fine. Flash forward to 1995 or so, and you get to see Daniel, the baby, all grown up. The only problem? He is white. We were all wondering how this Korean baby all the sudden grew up to be Caucasian. So I came up with the solution, "ETHNO CHANGO". This simple spell will allow you to change the ethnicity of anyone you wish. Isn't it handy?

Can our dreams not handle the third dimension? On two seperate occasions today (naps) I was startled awake from a dream in which I was wearing 3D glasses, and the movie which I was watching had just changed from 2D into 3D. On both occasions everything turned fuzzy for me, and I woke up feeling really disoriented. Maybe the first one triggered the second, but either way it was weird. Oh yea, and the 3D glasses theme probably came from the x ray specs I got rid of earlier today, the ones where you can look at a bright light and see stars and such.

It's a sign of how far gone I am. I walked to class today, through the half foot of snow that fell last night, only to realize when I got there that I had left my backpack at my apartment. Now that could happen to anyone at some point, but the real sad part is that I thought about things in my bag on two seperate occasions on the walk over to tech. First I thought about my mat sci notebook, and whether or not it was still in my bag. In my head I thought about what I had taken out the night before, and realized that I hadn't touched it and that it was still in there. The second time I thought about getting a ruler out of it to measure just how much snow had fallen on one of the cars that was parked overnight on the streets, but then decided I was late enough for class as it was and I could do it on the way back. Then I got to class, and went to get stuff out of my bag only to realize it wasn't there. So yea then I just came home, and am going to get all the work done that I can before I have to go to lab at 2.

This is how winter should be in Chicago. Three to seven inches of snow every few days would be perfect. This morning about three inches fell and the same is predicted for tonight. Everything looks pretty and white, and its not too cold yet, so it is enjoyable.
